Abeokuta {Ogun State} is indisputably a product of Lagos State in terms of Modernisation and Civilization. The state called Ogun State would not have developed if not the physical and political supports from some of its Counterparts (most especially Lagos State).
Let's try to picture vividly Abeokuta (Ogun) without higher institutions such as MAPOLY, FUNAAB, OSU, amongst others; most of this institutions has contributed greatly to the population and civilization of the residents of Abeokuta.
Houses close to the campuses are expensive because they know most of its inhabitants are students from Lagos State. On the contrary, houses in areas inhabited by indigenes are relatively cheap. The State Government generate a large proportion of their total revenue from these institutions.
Furthermore, 90% of Vehicles that moves around either for commercial or private purpose carries {or registered with} a Lagos Plate Number from any Lagos LGA. This also explains how Lagos has impacted greatly on the civilization of its neighboring State.
In recent times, the Ogun State Government has established different sectors or Government Agencies to help perform its functions; some of this Agencies or Bodies has been said to have been motivated and inspired by the Lagos State Government.
Some of them includes the Transport Sector {LASTMA} and the environmental sanitation {LAWMA}; they were established in Ogun State as a result of motivation and inspiration from Lagos State.
